Platform Work Directive — algorithmic management

What it means for AI
Platforms must disclose which automated systems monitor and decide, may not process certain data (e.g. emotional state, private conversations) and must ensure human review of significant decisions.
What you must do
- Transparency about automated monitoring and decision-making systems.
- Human oversight; decisions to suspend or terminate an account must be taken by a person.
- Presumption of employment where facts indicate control and direction.
Examples
A delivery app automatically deactivates a courier for late deliveries
Not allowed without human decision; the courier must get reasons and a way to contest.
